My passion for food and curiosity about how the human body works have always gone hand in hand. Growing up, I was drawn to understanding why we feel the way we do and how the food on our plate plays a role in that. That curiosity eventually led me to a career I genuinely love.
I began my academic journey in 2009 with a BSc in Biomedical Science at the University of Leeds, where I built a strong foundation in how the body functions in both health and disease. It was here that I first became captivated by the role nutrition plays in almost every system of the body.
Wanting to go deeper, I completed a Master's in Nutrition, also at the University of Leeds, graduating in 2014. But even then, I felt pulled towards something more personal - working directly with people, rather than purely in research or academia. That led me to the College of Naturopathic Medicine, where I trained as a Nutrition Therapist over three years, completing 200 hours of clinical training and learning how to translate nutritional science into real, personalised plans for real people.
My approach is also shaped by my own experience. I have navigated thyroid and hormonal imbalances first-hand, and understanding how much targeted nutrition and lifestyle changes can shift the way you feel has made me a more empathetic, driven practitioner. I know what it is like to feel like something is off but not quite know where to start. That is exactly why I do what I do.
I believe that health is deeply personal. We are all shaped by our genetics, our environment, our stress levels, our history. A one-size-fits-all approach will never work because no two people are the same. My focus is always on uncovering the root causes of what you are experiencing and working with you to build a plan that fits your life, not someone else's.
I work with clients online or in person at Body and Mind Wellness Centre in Gibraltar, and I support people across a range of health concerns, with a particular focus on women's health, gut health, hormonal balance, energy, and mood.
If you are ready to feel more like yourself again, I would love to help.
