Cookie Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Georgina Nicole Nutrition uses cookies and similar technologies on www.georginanicolenutrition.com. It should be read alongside the Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data is handled more generally.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on a visitor's computer, tablet or phone. They allow a site to function properly, to remember choices a visitor has made, and to understand how the site is being used. Some cookies last only for the duration of a visit and are deleted when the browser is closed. Others remain on the device for a set period so that the visitor is recognised on a return visit.

Some of the technologies described in this policy are not strictly cookies but work in a similar way, such as local storage. For simplicity they are all referred to as cookies in this policy.

2. Consent and how choices are respected

A cookie banner is displayed the first time a visitor arrives at this website. Non essential cookies are restricted until a choice is made, which means analytics and performance cookies are not placed on the device unless the visitor accepts them.

The banner offers three options:

  • Accept all, which allows all cookies described in this policy

  • Decline all, which allows only the cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work

  • Manage cookies, which allows the visitor to choose which categories to allow

A visitor can change their mind at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function and for security. They cannot be switched off through the banner, because the site would not work properly without them. This website is built and hosted on the Squarespace platform, and these cookies are placed by Squarespace on behalf of Georgina Nicole Nutrition.

  • Crumb. Session. Protects the site against cross site request forgery.

  • Test. Session. Checks whether the visitor's browser supports cookies and prevents errors.

  • ddcookie_test and ddsite_test. Expire instantly. Check whether cookies are supported.

  • dds. Four hours. Records browser errors so faults on the site can be identified.

  • RecentRedirect. 30 minutes. Prevents redirect loops where the site uses custom URL redirects.

  • _ssid. Four years. Recognises devices for fraud prevention.

  • ss_performancecookiesAllowed. 30 days. Remembers whether the visitor agreed to analytics and performance cookies.

  • ss_marketingcookiesAllowed. 30 days. Remembers whether the visitor agreed to marketing cookies.

  • squarespace-popup-overlay. Persistent, stored locally. Stops a pop up reappearing once a visitor has dismissed it.

  • squarespace-announcement-bar. Persistent, stored locally. Stops the announcement bar reappearing once a visitor has dismissed it.

  • squarespace-likes. Persistent, stored locally. Records that a visitor has already liked a blog post.

4. Analytics and performance cookies

These cookies are optional and are only placed if a visitor accepts them. They collect information about how visitors find and use the website, such as which pages are viewed and where visitors arrived from. This information is used to understand how the site is performing and to improve it. It is reported in aggregate and is not used to identify individual visitors.

All of the cookies below are placed by Squarespace and are used to identify unique visitors and track a visitor's sessions on the site.

  • ss_cid. Two years.

  • ss_cpvisit. Two years.

  • ss_cvr. Two years.

  • ss_cvisit. 30 minutes.

  • ss_cvt. 30 minutes.

5. Booking and appointment cookies

The booking page uses Acuity Scheduling, which is provided by Squarespace, to allow visitors to book a free discovery call. Acuity places the cookies below. Squarespace classifies these as necessary cookies, which means they are not restricted by the cookie banner. They are only placed when a visitor interacts with the booking page.

  • PHPSESSID. One month. Authenticates a visitor securely while they are using the booking form.

  • _grecaptcha. No expiry, stored locally. Reduces spam and automated submissions through the booking form.

  • TZ. Persistent, stored locally. Displays appointment times correctly in the visitor's own time zone.

  • acloggedin and client_acloggedin. Session. Support sign in where a client holds a booking account.

  • client_username. One year. Remembers the username of a client who is signed in to a booking account.

  • clientUser. 30 days. Stores the sign in details required for a logged in booking account to function.

  • remember_client. 365 days. Remembers a client's booking account sign in details between visits.

6. Email sign up

The newsletter sign up form on this website is provided by Sender. Where a visitor submits their details through this form, the information provided is processed by Sender in order to deliver the requested guide and any subsequent emails.

Sender is added to this website using custom code rather than a built in integration. This means the Sender script loads on every page and is not controlled by the cookie banner. Sender uses cookies and local storage to make the sign up form work and to remember that a visitor has already seen or completed it. No advertising or cross site tracking is carried out through this form. Further information is available in Sender's own privacy and cookie documentation.

A visitor who does not wish Sender to store anything on their device can block cookies for this website in their browser settings, as described in section 9 below.

7. Links to other websites

Where a visitor follows a link from this website to an external site, including any social media platform, that site will operate under its own cookie policy. Georgina Nicole Nutrition has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the cookies placed by other websites.

8. Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies are placed on the basis that they are essential for providing the service the visitor has requested. All other cookies are placed only with the visitor's consent, in accordance with the Communications (Personal Data and Privacy) Regulations 2006 and the Gibraltar GDPR. Where a visitor is located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the equivalent requirements of the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, or the EU GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, are also applied.

Consent, once given, may be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that took place before it was withdrawn.

9. How to change or withdraw consent

Cookie choices can be changed at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of this website.

Cookies can also be controlled through the browser itself. Most browsers allow a visitor to see which cookies are stored, to delete them individually or entirely, and to block cookies from particular sites or from all sites. Instructions for the most widely used browsers are published by Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge in their respective help documentation.

Blocking all cookies will affect how this website works. In particular, the booking form may not function correctly.

10. Rights

Where cookies collect personal data, visitors have rights under the Gibraltar GDPR and, where applicable, the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR. These include the right to be informed, the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability and the right to object. These rights are set out in full in the Privacy Policy, which also explains how to make a request.

A complaint may be made to the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority, which is the supervisory authority for data protection in Gibraltar. Visitors in the United Kingdom may instead complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

11. Changes to this policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated from time to time, for example if a new tool is added to the website. Any changes will be published on this page and the date at the top of the policy will be revised. It is recommended that this policy is reviewed periodically.
